In 2002, the National Propane Gas Association decided they could no longer sit on the sidelines of the public policy debate, especially under new realities in the industry post-9/11. Revving up political participation also meant a contentious debate within NGPA over relocating the headquarters from Chicago, Ill., to Washington, D.C.
